Rebecca Loomis is a graphic designer, artist, and author with a belief that beauty will save the world.
A Texas transplant from the New York Hudson Valley, Rebecca comes from a loving family of creative entrepreneurs and dabbles in many trades. She studied entertainment media at a film school in California under screenwriter Christopher Riley—considered “The most authoritative figure for the official screenplay format of Hollywood,” according to IMDb—before transferring to Benedictine College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in mass communications and a minor in art (2013).
After college, Rebecca went on to spend three years doing state-side mission work via the non-profit Saint Paul’s Outreach. Then she returned to the marketing industry, working for BBG&G Advertising before jumping into the cold waters of full-time contract work, having offered photography and design services on the side since 2010. She founded her design company, Fabelle Creative Co., to make it easy for small businesses to get the brand and web solutions they need to tell their story.
In 2017, Rebecca published her first dystopian novel, A Whitewashed Tomb, which was named by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group as one of the best indie books of 2018. She shares some of her insights on Skillshare.com, where she teaches writing classes.
Rebecca’s artwork—surreal ink portraits accented with metallic gold—can be found and purchased at rebeccaloomis.com. Her most recent endeavor is a literary travel blog called The Playful Pilgrim. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and son, hosting board game nights, social dancing, and exploring the great outdoors.
